By now, you are surely overwhelmed by the notion of ´COVID-19´. But this is not the only buzzword that has been relentlessly circulated in the media in the past six months. More often than not, the word ´COVID-19´ was accompanied by yet another word ´resilience´, or, ´resilience´ somehow connected with words such as ´surprise´, ´uncertainty´, ´complexity´, ´adaptive capacity´, ´flexibility´, ´scalability´, ´interdependence´ and ´sustainability´, to name a few.

While intuitively all of these words and their relationships make sense, the question is how they have all played out during the COVID-19 crisis?

In this webinar, we have invited leading Air Traffic Management (ATM) figures to discuss the good, the bad, and the ugly of ATM resilience management (within a wider aviation context) in light of COVID-19. The panellists will reflect on the ATM industry good practices and lessons learned related to the implementation of theoretical foundations of Resilience Engineering (RE). In addition, the panellists will shed light on practical research questions that, in their view, may help in bridging the gap between RE theory and practice.
